Known Issues

The ScamShield Team is aware of some issues with the ScamShield app and is currently investigating these cases in more detail. We will get back to you once we are able to resolve this.

Call Blocking & Identification and SMS Filtering setting may not appear on certain iOS devices. This is a known issue on certain iOS versions. If you are unable to find these settings on your iPhone, please reach out to us with your iOS version and phone model information. Rest assured, you can still use the ScamShield app to check and submit scam reports even if your call blocking & SMS filtering permissions are not enabled.

Error encountered when processing a screenshot during checking or submitting a scam report. If the app fails to process the uploaded screenshot, it may occasionally generate an error saying "Something went wrong, an unknown error occured". However, based on our observations, this error is intermittent and often resolves itself if you attempt to upload the screenshot again.
