# Setup call blocking on Android

Step 1: Launch ScamShield. Click on "Set up" next to 'Scam call blocking not set up'.

Step 2: Click 'Next' to proceed.

Step 3: You will be given a preview of the setting. Click Next to proceed.&#x20;

Step 4: Select 'ScamShield' in the pop-up > Click 'Set as default'. This will set ScamShield to be your **default caller ID & spam app**.&#x20;

Step 5: In your ScamShield home screen, you will be able to see call blocking is now active.
